I started a blog so I wouldn't have to write the same email to everyone I know. But nobody reads it so it's more like a test run for future conversation. That's okay, I'm used to that. Thanks for visiting.

return of stills
Finally got a replacement point and shoot camera, a Lumix LX5 to replace the LX3 I forgot to take out of the seatback pocket a few months ago. What's up with people not returning things they find? I had my name and my phone number on it, I reported it to the Southwest folks immediately and still nothing. Things like this make me disappointed in humanity. But such are my problems, I finally had a reason to make this small upgrade. The camera has a pretty amazing amount of options for what it is (dialing in LCD brightness, contrast, saturation and color? I don't think even pro DSLRs do this) so hopefully that means I'll be back to making visual notes and maybe even getting organized enough to blog regularly. Or at least just taking still photos, something I hadn't really been excited to do since the day I received the LX3. Anyway, I'm well past the 140 character limit that would have made this a tweet so time to end the babbling.
