so much for free market

I realize that, living in the Bay Area, I'm surrounded by the vanguard of food politics so real, unprocessed food straight from the farm, tinged with dirt and bacteria is not such an odd idea whereas it might seem very [insert dirty hippie insult here] to many inhabitants of this continent who buy their food wrapped in plastic and ready to drop in the frying pan. I mean, heck, most of my meals are pre-cooked to some extent, ready to pop in the oven and come out a few minutes later ready to eat with little to no interference on my part. Nevertheless, it is an amazing drop in logic that the teabaggers who rattle on and on about decreased government and self-reliance aren't up in arms about freedom of information and transparency in the realm of food. If any one of them driving around the breadbasket can visit a real small farm and expound the virtues of unprocessed ingredients, I might consider voting for them. Ok, just kidding, it'll take a lot more than that. Until then, here's another example of our tax dollars at work protecting the agribusiness while stomping on individual freedoms.
